1. Welcome - Tabitha Groelle and Jeannie Inskeep welcomed the 65 people who attended the meeting. We introduced the Community Specialist Officer from RPD - Barbie Upchurch.
2. Police Activity/ Community Watch Information - Officer Barbie Upchurch (RPD Crime Prevention) spoke to the group. She supplied us with contact names and phone numbers for our station (the precinct on Avent Ferry Road). She also stressed the importance of getting to know your neighbors & watching out for suspicious activity in our area.
3. Beat Officer - Our beat officer stopped by and spoke with the group about problems in our neighborhood.
4. Mailing List??? - Jason Hibbets offered to create a mailing list for the group. He told us he would be willing to create the mailing list and then consider making a web site for our organization.
5. Block Captains - Jeannie and Tabitha discussed the need for block captains. They want to start organizing the group to have a 3 tiered system. Chairs (1), Block Captains (2), Members (3).
6. Next Meeting - Jeannie and Tabitha set a date for the next meeting: April 7, 2003.
7. Meeting Adjourned - The meeting came to a close and those who attending signed a thank you card for the First United Pentecostal Church for allowing us to use their meeting room.
