Pleasant Ridge and Ramsgate Community Watch - Graffiti at Carolina Pines
"What do you do about gang graffiti?
Read It! Record It! Report It! And Remove It!!
Gang graffiti left unchecked can be dangerous. Remember it can communicate
an outright threat against an opposing gang or person. First the graffiti must be
read and interpreted for danger signals. Second, it should be photographed. Then,
a police report should be made for tracking purposes. Finally, the graffiti should
be removed to reduce the likelihood of continued violence."

Carolina Pines Graffiti
Here you will find some interesting graffiti at Carolina Pines Park off of Lake Wheeler Road. The graffiti here is highly visible because of the number of people, especially children, who frequent the park. Some graffiti is from local gangs hailing from the Rush Street area and other graffiti indicates ties to the popular Crip gang. See for yourself how our community has had success in reporting, recording, and getting unsightly graffiti removed.

Graffiti on a dumpster. The City of Raleigh can not remove it because it's on private property. This property belongs to Waste Management. Perhaps they are supportive of gang activity since they have not replaced the dumpster or removed the graffiti yet. |
