Raleigh Shred & Recycle It Event for America Recycles Day
Date/Time: Saturday, November 10, 2007 9am - 1pm
Location: Town Ridge Shopping Center parking lot, 6500 Glenwood Avenue
Why: To combat identify theft and ensure the valuable fibers get recycled.
Raleigh Recycles invites you to join us and celebrate America Recycles Day 2007! We are partnering with ProShred Security, Sonoco, Inc. and NC DOJ to bring the community this timely and important identify theft and recycling event. This event is available to all Raleigh residents and small businesses! Each visitor is limited to bringing in ONE COPY PAPER SIZED BOX LOAD of paper to be shredded. Folks can watch the camera on the truck as the documents are shredded right before their own eyes!
Each visitor is limited to bringing in ONE COPY PAPER SIZED BOX LOAD of paper to be shredded. Note: A calendar will be available for those that have more documents and wish to make an appointment with ProShred off site. ProShred has agreed to shred up to 300 pounds off site at no charge. The one box per visitor limit has been implemented for this event to ensure as many people as possible can take advantage of this opportunity.
Examples of personal items to have shredded & small business documents to have shredded:
- Cancelled checks - Customer lists
- Credit card statements - Sales reports
- Bank statements - Financial records
- Medical records - Proprietary documents
- Legal papers - Legal papers
- Income tax files - HR records
FAQ's:
- Are other items accepted?
ALSO ACCEPTED!! CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes, Floppy disks, and Xrays. Please do not mix in with your paper. - Do business get a Certificate of Destruction?
Certificate of Destruction will be available to businesses that require them.
NOTE: The City of Raleigh takes no legal responsibilty for your documents once they are shredded and destroyed. Seek any legal or tax advise before destroying any documents in question.
