- What is National Night Out?
The "20th Annual National Night Out" (NNO), a unique crime/drug prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW), has been scheduled for August 5, 2003. We cordially invite you and your community to be a part of our NIGHT OUT 2003 team. See their website for more information http://www.nationaltownwatch.org/.
- NATIONAL NIGHT OUT is designed to:
- Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness
- Generate support for and partition in local anticrime programs
- Strenghten neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships
- Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back
- What is our watch group doing for National Night out?
We are invited to join Raleigh Police Department with other Community Watch groups for a pot luck dinner at Carolina Pines.
- Can anyone participate/Do I have to participate?
Anyone can participate! We encourage you to bring your entire family to this pot luck dinner. You do not have to participate if you do not want to.
- Do I need to register the watch group?
No. Our watch group is already registered with NNO
- Will it cost me anything?
Yes. We ask that you bring a covered dish to the event.
- What do I need to bring?
Since this is a pot luck dinner, we are asking that particpants bring a covered dish to the event. Please contact Jason Hibbets or your Captain to coordinate a dish.
