FAQ's:
What is the hot topic?
Our special guest will be Joshua Stein from the Department of Justice and we will be learning about one of the fastest growing crimes in America: Identity Theft.
Who can attend?
Anyone living in our watch area is welcome to attend. We encourage you to ask your neighbor to come. The more people that we have aware of what is going on in our area, the safer our neighborhood is, the safer your home is. The Lineberry Alliance and Distric D Neighborhood Alliance members have been invited to this meeting.
I'm a renter, why should I bother?
Whether you rent or own your home, you live and are a part of this neighborhood. Renters should consider themselves as stakeholders in the community watch program. Crime does not care whether you rent or own a home.
I'm a student, why should I bother?
Students are welcome and encouraged to join our program, even if you are only here for a year or even a semester. Police statistics show that students are often a prime target for crime. Our watch group can help! We can offer tips, get you involved, and keep you informed.
I've been to a meeting, why should I go to another one?
We strive to have new topics at each meeting and we are now limiting our meetings to a specific agenda. Crime doesn't stop because we have our meetings. If you can't make the meetings, it's understandable. Our meeting notes are posted on the website. You can also keep in touch with our mailing list. Please inquiry about our mailing lists if you are not yet a member of the email list.
